Bahnbetriebswerk Arnstadt

A former railway depot, with a locomotive shed dating from 1898, now serves as a railway museum. Steam locomotives from the old Erfurt railway division have been kept here since 1992. The site lies on lines crossing the Thuringian Forest and was saved by dedicated railway enthusiasts.
