Tabakmuseum Lorsch
Lorsch, Hessen
From growing tobacco to making cigars and smoking them, this museum traces a crop that was a major part of the economy in the southern Hessian Ried around 1900. About 1,500 exhibits fill more than 600 square metres in a former cannery near the Torhalle gatehouse. It is one of three museums in the Lorsch Museum Centre, alongside a monastery museum and a folk-life museum.
