Synagoge (Ermreuth)
Neunkirchen am Brand, Bayern
Ermreuth's synagogue was built between 1819 and 1822 to replace an earlier one from 1738, as the Jewish community had grown. It was desecrated in the November pogrom of 1938 but not burned, and was later used as a storeroom. Since a thorough restoration in 1994 the building has been open again, recalling Jewish life in the village.
