From the visitor centre in Torfhaus you look straight out to the Brocken and into the Radau valley. Inside, an exhibition introduces the Harz National Park, and just outside the door the wilderness begins, ready to explore on your own. Staff run guided walks and can suggest things to do around Torfhaus. Entry is free, and donations are welcome.
