Narrenringstube

This is a good place to get to know carnival customs of the region. The Narrenringstube occupies a hall in the tithe barn of the former Mainz electoral administrative cellar in Buchen. It documents Fasnacht traditions of the eastern Odenwald, the Bauland and the Tauber valley, set between Rhenish carnival to the north and Alemannic Fasnet to the south. Traditional Buchen figures are on show, among them the Huddelbätze, the Strohbär, the Müller and the Buchemer Blecker.
