This open-air museum is spread over several sites. At Veselý Kopec stand folk and technical buildings from the 18th to 20th centuries, moved from threatened places in Horácko, the Chrudim area and the Litomyšl area. It also includes the village site of Svobodné Hamry and Betlém, a reserve of folk architecture in the centre of Hlinsko.
