This natural history museum grew from a collection that Krystyna and Włodzimierz Tomek gathered over more than 50 years. Its centrepiece is some 200 species of birds, arranged by order and family, including more than 20 rare species. The collection has been open to visitors in Ciężkowice since 1989.
