The museum stands on the site of two German prisoner-of-war camps from the Second World War: Stalag VIIIC and the Luftwaffe camp Stalag Luft 3 Sagan. It is devoted to the fate of Allied prisoners and to their attempts to escape captivity. A visit lets you see the real ground where the camps stood and learn their story.
