Museum "Vom Kloster zum Dorf"

On the former nuns' gallery of the abbey's upper church at Frauental, a permanent exhibition traces the story of the place, from the early Cistercian convent to the farming village of today. The tour runs chronologically, shows how the cultural landscape changed, and sets great events beside the everyday lives of villagers. Short films bring to life a nun around 1300 and a refugee for his faith around 1660.
