Museum Schloss Heringen

Housed in the New Palace at Heringen on the Helme, this museum covers local history with a focus on castles, the Middle Ages and archaeology. The town bills itself as the oldest village in Thuringia, and a multimedia guide for adults and children, borrowed at the desk, helps you explore it.
