Museum im Hollerhaus

A restored Jura farmhouse with a limestone-slate roof houses this local museum. It shows how people turned the Altmühl valley from natural landscape into cultural landscape over the last 4000 years, with archaeological finds from excavations around Dietfurt. A large collection of rocks, minerals and fossils explains the region's geological history. It grew out of the private collection of mining engineer Oskar Hoffmann.
