Friedland, Niedersachsen
Since 1945, people have passed through the Friedland transit camp: refugees, expellees, released prisoners of war, resettlers and people seeking protection from around the world. This museum tells their story in the station building of 1890, which has long been a key arrival point for the camp. More than four million people have come through the camp so far.
