In the former home of Otto Modersohn and Paula Modersohn-Becker, this museum shows art by the first generation of Worpswede painters, with a modern extension alongside. Many works by Paula Modersohn-Becker are a highlight. The collection goes back to the gallery owner Bernhard Kaufmann, and the museum opened in 1997.
