Multimar Wattforum

Right by the Eider bridge in the harbour town of Tönning, this visitor centre is devoted to the Schleswig-Holstein Wattenmeer National Park. Its hands-on exhibition follows the habitats between rivers, salt marshes, mudflats and the North Sea. You can watch tiny mudflat creatures, look into aquariums full of fish shoals, and come face to face with a huge sperm whale. Seahorses are among the residents too.
