LWL-Industriemuseum Zeche Nachtigall

On the old grounds of the Nachtigall colliery in Witten-Bommern, this technology museum tells the story of coal mining and what followed. Surviving buildings include the pithead baths, an administration building, the walls of the engine house and a tall brick chimney; a brickworks later occupied the site. The listed complex is an anchor point of the Industrial Heritage Trail and an information centre of the Geopark Ruhrgebiet.
