Kunstmuseum Marburg

Classical modernism, with Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and many of his contemporaries, forms the core of the collection in this modernist museum building in Marburg, open since 1927. You will also find postwar avant-garde works from the Hilde Eitel collection and nineteenth-century painting, above all from the Willingshausen artists' colony, with Carl Bantzer, Johann Giebel and Wilhelm Thielmann, plus paintings by Otto Ubbelohde. Since its renovation in 2018 the galleries are step-free.
