Kranich Museum

A manor house in the village of Hessenburg holds a collection of international art devoted to the crane, which stops in the area on its migration each spring and autumn. The house was restored for the purpose and has twelve rooms. There is also a library with a reading room, a small shop, a café and the restaurant Alte Schmiede. It opened in 2011.
