Klostermuseum Roggenburg

Set in the middle of Roggenburg's Baroque monastery complex, this museum traces the story of the Premonstratensian abbey from its founding in 1126 to its dissolution in 1803. Artworks and special pieces from the monastery and its churches speak of Baroque splendour, half-forgotten popular piety and the life of the order. The entrance is just right of the church portal, and a stroll around the grounds and a look inside the Baroque church of the Assumption fit naturally into the visit.
