This former coal mine near Vinařice, by Kladno, is now an open-air technical museum about mining in the Kladno and Slaný region. Sinking began in 1874 and coal was raised until 1997, some 34 million tonnes over 120 years. Visitors see the surviving mining installations on the very site where the work was done.
