Historisches Museum und Bach-Gedenkstätte

In the Ludwigsbau of Köthen's palace, this history museum traces how the town and its court once lived. The heart of it is the Bach memorial, where several rooms evoke daily life at the palace in Johann Sebastian Bach's time and look at his work in Köthen. Further permanent displays cover the town's history and court culture. The palace also has a mirror hall and a chapel.
