GröschlerHaus

Jever, Niedersachsen

This centre in Jever stands on the foundations of the synagogue burned down by local Nazis, together with its mikveh and the Jewish school. On 140 square metres, 54 panels cover the region's Jewish and recent history. It is named after the brothers Hermann and Julius Gröschler, the community's last leaders, who were murdered in Bergen-Belsen and Auschwitz.
