Glocken- und Stadtmuseum (Apolda)

Two museums share one classicist factory-owner's villa on Bahnhofstraße. The bell museum covers bell archaeology, the development of the European tower bell, the technique of bell founding, Apolda's foundries and bells from beyond Europe. The town museum focuses on the local textile industry, with machines, samples and garments showing how it shaped the town and its people.
