Deutsches Bauernkriegsmuseum Böblingen

This museum is devoted to the Peasants' War of 1525, above all the battle fought at Böblingen on 12 May 1525, where the rebel peasants were bloodily defeated. The exhibition follows the protest marches and mass uprisings, introduces the peasant leaders and their tactics, and explains the background. Everyday peasant life is covered too. It occupies the restored tithe barn, which it shares with the municipal gallery.
