Facing St Mary's Church on Mengstraße, this house is devoted to the novel Buddenbrooks and to the Mann family of writers. Two permanent exhibitions cover the novel and the family. It has been a memorial site since 1993, and the plot appears in Lübeck's records as far back as 1289.
