Brandenburgisches Textilmuseum Forst (Lausitz)

Forst was one of East Germany's leading textile towns until 1989, and this museum tells its story in a genuine setting: a listed cloth-factory complex built in 1896/97. The focus is the cloth-making trade. You will see historic textile machinery and learn how the forest of factory chimneys shaped the town and why the industry mattered so much to the whole of Lower Lusatia. The museum opened in 1995.
