Bochumer Zentrum für Stadtgeschichte

Bochum's city archive doubles as the city's history museum. In the reading room you can look through medieval charters, photographs, plans, newspapers and commemorative publications, often as originals, tracing some 700 years of local history. The archive also keeps everyday historical objects, and its exhibitions give a vivid account of Bochum's past.
