The museum occupies a listed Art Nouveau building on Mollardgasse, built in 1914 for the Vienna workers' health insurance fund. It presents the history of Mariahilf, Vienna's sixth district. Among its collections is a nine-square-meter model of the Magdalenengrund quarter.
