Anti-Kriegs-Museum

Berlin, Berlin

Founded in 1925 by the pacifist Ernst Friedrich, this museum in Wedding is regarded as Germany's first museum against war. Early displays included First World War objects, pictures by Käthe Kollwitz and Otto Dix, and photographs of war-disfigured soldiers. The Nazis ransacked it in 1933.
