Akademisches Kunstmuseum

The University of Bonn's collection of antiquities brings together more than 2,700 plaster casts of ancient statues and reliefs with over 25,000 originals. Founded in 1818, it is among the city's oldest museums and holds one of the largest collections of casts of Greek and Roman sculpture. Its neoclassical home by the Hofgarten is being renovated, so the collection is now shown on Römerstraße, with all the originals and a selection of the casts.
