Pult & Federkiel-Museum Insel

The former village school in the centre of Insel, now part of Schneverdingen, holds a classroom from days gone by. You will see multi-seat desks with inkwells and pen grooves, the teacher's desk, blackboards, maps, a harmonium, a peat stove, slates and a cane. One room is devoted to the folk poet Marie Kupfer (1864–1940), who was born in this schoolhouse.
