Landschaftsmuseum Obermain

In the west wing of Plassenburg castle, this museum presents art and cultural history of the Upper Main region. A copy of the Ebstorf world map can be decoded on a computer, and further sections cover the Reformation and the destruction and rebuilding of Kulmbach after 1553. Other displays deal with prehistory, geology, fauna and flora, and the superstitions of witches, werewolves and the undead.
