Historische Gerberei

Leather was tanned in this house on the River Ihle until 1991, when it closed as the last tannery in Burg. Guided tours use machines, tools and finished goods to show how long and laborious the process was. The tanner's dwelling dates from the 15th or 16th century, and the local history society is based here today.
