A mine train carries visitors down into part of the disused Wohlverwahrt iron ore mine in the Weser Hills. On the guided tour, the most interesting spots are pointed out and explained, along with the hard working conditions of the miners. Underground, a sizeable lake has formed, known as the Blue Lagoon. A museum of mining and earth history is part of the site.
