This villa on the Wannsee, built in 1915 for the manufacturer Ernst Marlier, was the site of the Wannsee Conference on 20 January 1942. The permanent exhibition centres on that meeting, which took place in the former dining room. From 1941 to 1945 the house served as an SS guesthouse and meeting place. The museum opened in 1992.
