Židovské muzeum v Praze
Praha, Praha
The Jewish Museum looks after several sites in Prague's Josefov quarter and guides visitors around them as a single circuit. The Maisel Synagogue shows the history of Jews in the Czech lands from the 10th to the 18th century, the Pinkas Synagogue is a Shoah memorial, and the Spanish Synagogue covers the 19th and 20th centuries. The Old Jewish Cemetery is part of the route too. The collections hold about 44,000 objects and 130,000 books, and the museum dates from 1906.
