Wixhäuser Dorfmuseum

A Franconian half-timbered house rebuilt in 1662 holds this village museum in Wixhausen. Nine rooms show how people lived in the old village, with displays on its cultural and social history. The house is part of the historic parsonage courtyard, whose roots reach back to a medieval knight's seat. The baroque timberwork is worth a look in its own right.
