Waldmuseum Stendenitz
Neuruppin, Brandenburg
Among the woods of the Ruppiner Schweiz near Lake Zermützelsee stands one of Germany's oldest forest museums. The forester Hans Zander collected curious and interesting things from nature until his home overflowed, and in 1936 the collection found a home in a small timber house near the Waldschänke. The surrounding landscape of ice-age lakes and hills is good for a walk.
