Volkskundliches Gerätemuseum Bergnersreuth

Arzberg, Bayern

This open-air museum is built around a former farmstead on the edge of Bergnersreuth. It follows the farm's development back to the 17th century and the story of the family who lived there, which you can read in the buildings and their furnishings. You will see a combined house and stable with a surviving vaulted stall, a half-timbered and solid-built barn, and an outbuilding converted inside to hold the exhibition. The black kitchen and the close living of people and animals under one roof are typical of the region.
