Across about 1,000 square metres, this university museum traces Freiburg's university from its founding in 1457 to the student movement of the 1960s. Separate sections cover medicine, the natural sciences and the humanities. There is also a cabinet of curiosities modelled on Renaissance Wunderkammern and a small collection of moulages. It occupies the old Jesuit college in the Altstadt.
