Tötungsanstalt Hadamar

On the Mönchberg, a memorial site recalls the Nazi euthanasia murders. Between 1941 and 1945 about 14,500 people with disabilities and illnesses were killed here, in a gas chamber, by injection and by deliberate starvation. The killing centre was located in what is now the old building of a psychiatric clinic.
