Straßensperre Nauders
Nauders, Tirol
Two and a half kilometres northwest of Nauders, this fortress hugs the rock of a gorge on the Finstermünz Pass. Built between 1834 and 1840 to block the road from the Reschen Pass towards Landeck, it never saw fighting and is therefore very well preserved. A museum now occupies the fortress.
