Stift St. Lambrecht

This Benedictine abbey sits high in the Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen nature park, founded in 1076. Two churches stand within the grounds, the Abbey Church and St. Peter's. During restoration of the Abbey Church in the early 1970s, frescoes from the later 15th century were uncovered on the north wall, including a scene of the Judgment of Solomon. The abbey gardens are part of the nature park too.
