Stiefelmachermuseum Rechnitz

Rechnitz had a major guild of bootmakers up to the Second World War, and this museum in the converted municipal office on the main square recalls it. You can see a complete bootmaker's workshop with tools and machines, plus a market stall, a market chest and guild chests. It is the only museum of its kind in Austria, and groups can be guided by a master shoemaker.
