Steinbrecherhaus

Perg, Oberösterreich

A plain workers' house from 1802 beside a millstone quarry in Perg shows how ordinary stonebreakers lived. Inside are a parlour with a tiled stove, a smoke kitchen and an exhibition room with tools and stone pieces. The grounds hold a rebuilt work hut, display boards on local geology and a rock garden of sandstone and granite pieces. By the stream stands an old hydraulic ram pump.
