Stadtmuseum St. Wendel

The museum tells the art and cultural history of St. Wendel through the people tied to it: painter Mia Münster, pastel artist Nikolaus Lauer and his pupils, composer Philipp Jakob Riotte, Duchess Luise of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld and the town's namesake, Saint Wendelin. It also covers fashion, portrait painting, early photography and bronze casting, and a media station called the Wheel of Time gives a chronological overview of local history. Admission is free.
