Skansen w Białowieży

Białowieża, podlaskie

A private open-air museum of the wooden architecture of the Ruthenian people of Podlasie, set in Białowieża on the site of the former village of Kropiwnik. It grew from a post-mill built in 1925 and brought here in 1978, with more timber buildings from the area added over time. It has welcomed visitors since 2004 and is run by volunteers, so it opens in summer and on long weekends.
