Simplicissimus-Haus
Renchen, Baden-Württemberg
Anyone who knows the Simplicissimus will enjoy seeing how it has been pictured. This literary museum shows illustrations to the works of Grimmelshausen, who wrote the famous picaresque novel in the 17th century, and traces how readers have received the book over time. He served as the local magistrate in Renchen and died here in 1676, so the town is the right place for it. The house also holds the Grimmelshausen archive.
