Inside Horneck Castle, this museum preserves the cultural heritage of the Transylvanian Saxons and presents it alongside the other ethnic groups of Transylvania. The permanent exhibition is arranged by theme around Transylvanian art and cultural history. It grew from a collection of Transylvanian folk objects gathered in Munich in the 1950s. The castle's inner courtyard has been roofed over and serves as a central space.
