Schiller-Nationalmuseum

Marbach am Neckar, Baden-Württemberg

On Marbach's Schillerhöhe stands a building opened in 1903 to honour Friedrich Schiller, born in the town, and other Swabian poets. Designed by Ludwig Eisenlohr and Carl Weigle, it presents German literature from the Enlightenment to the present and belongs to the German Literature Archive, which was founded here in 1955. It reopened in 2009 for Schiller's 250th birthday.
