Schieferbergbau- und Heimatmuseum Holthausen

Housed in a former school, this museum fills around 2,500 square metres with the story of Holthausen and its surroundings. Slate mining is the centrepiece, alongside sections on local wildlife and plants, textile making, folk life, a printing workshop and art. A gallery annex is devoted to art from south-western Westphalia.
